1
Keep naloxone readily available – such as in your purse, car, or workplace first aid kit – to respond quickly if you come across someone experiencing an opioid overdose. It can save lives when given in time, and the CDC has published instructions on how anybody can use it for first aid.
2
Support addiction recovery centers in your community. To support the work done by the Zone in Marietta, GA – featured in the film – please visit the Davis Direction Foundation website.
3
End the stigma against people with opioid use disorders (OUD). OUD and other substance use disorders are treatable with a variety of methods, and treating it as a moral failure can prevent people living with OUD from getting the help they need – from loved ones, medical professionals, and their wider community.
